Introduction to non-statutory consultation
Consultation is open from Monday 17 March to Sunday 13 April 2025. The deadline for comment is 11:59pm on Sunday 13 April 2025.
Following our Project Information Days in October 2024, we now invite feedback on our early-stage proposals through this non-statutory consultation, which includes online and face-to-face opportunities to find out more and have your say.
Non-statutory consultations provide local communities, stakeholders and other interested parties the opportunity to engage with the Ossian project team early in the planning process. The feedback collected during the non-statutory consultation will inform the design and development of the project.
In-person public consultation events - you can meet and speak with the project team at the events listed below.

What are we consulting on?
To consent Ossian, we are consulting and seeking views on the following areas;
Offshore transmission infrastructure
- Offshore cables from the wind farm array to landfall.
Landfall
- Where the Offshore cables are brought ashore and jointed to the Onshore Cables
Onshore transmission infrastructure
- Onshore cables from the landfall to onshore converter stations.
- One converter station at the Lincolnshire Connection Node; and
- Two converter stations at Weston Marsh.
- Onshore cables between onshore converter stations and the points of connection to the National Grid.
Onshore cables will be installed below ground along this corridor. No overhead lines are being proposed as part of the Ossian Transmission Infrastructure. We expect these cables to be installed using open trenching techniques, with trenchless techniques such as horizontal directional drilling, being employed where the route crosses features such as major roads or watercourses and/or environmentally sensitive areas.
